Wool & Needle Club

Join the  Wool & Needle Club to receive a regular selection of our favorite wools. It’s a great way to get your creative juices flowing and to help build your wool stash without being too hard on your budget!

Every other month you receive a packet of 7 wool pieces (pieces vary in size...they are at least 7”x12”or 9"x9") and a free pattern for a small wool project.  The selections are a mixture of hand dyed and mill dyed wools.  The free pattern is something that you could use for that month’s wool, but it does not necessarily equate to the wool in that month’s packet. If there is a piece that you particularly like, you can purchase more in the shop or over the phone, depending on availability.

Here’s how the club works:

  • Packets are available every other month, based on the month in which you start.
  • Each packet contains 7 pieces of good wool (some mill and some hand dyed) and a free pattern.
  • Price is $ 24.99 per month. (Shipping is extra.)
  • No minimum number of purchases is required – you can cancel your enrollment at any time, as long as it is at least one week before the start of the next scheduled mail-out month.
  • The payment is charged to your credit card on the first day of the designated months.  (Once you sign up we’ll call you for your credit card number.)

Tonga Lush

Note: The kit has all the original fabrics designed for this quilt

Wing and a Prayer Designs has created another masterpiece with their Tonga Lush Block of the Month. The quilt, designed to showcase the Tonga Lush collection by Timeless Treasures, features fourteen fabrics in a palette of creams shading to soft blush, rose into burgundy, and vivid greens all nested in a navy-blue base. Throughout the quilt the classically pieced blocks are enhanced by unique color placement. The quilt calls for basic piecing techniques with easy-to-follow instructions, combined with a variety of block sizes that makes the quilt desirable for both novice and experienced quilters.
The kit includes all fabric required to complete the quilt top (as shown in the original), binding, and pattern. The King-sized quilt, measures 108" square
As a bonus, we also include acrylic templates for the Dresden blocks at no extra cost.
You can purchase this kit as a Block of the Month or as an All-at-Once version.
--Block of the month is $22.00 per month for 10 months
--All-at-Once version is $199.00

Aunt Grace Basket of Scraps

Judie Rothermel brings more 1930’s reproduction prints - creating "something new from something old"-  in a collection and BOM fittingly named Aunt Grace Basket of Scraps.
The quilt finishes at 90.5" x 96.5" for a Queen sized quilt or 96.5" x 102.5" for a King sized quilt. The cheerful patchwork border illustrates how even the smallest pieces in one's "basket of scraps" can combine to create one of the best elements of a quilt.  In fact, it’s only the size of the pieced border that differentiates the King and Queen size quilt options -  the yardage requirements are the same for both versions.
Inside the borders, appliqued blocks are sewn to mimic the look of English paper piecing, without the extra work.

The kit includes  the book, acrylic templates, and over 21 yards of fabric to complete the top and binding.

This is a nine month Block of the Month. You can participate on a monthly basis for $22.95/month or purchase the kit all-at-once for $249.

Color Love

Nancy Rink's fabrics and pattern for Color Love are vibrant and joyful. It can almost be called two quilts because there are two versions of the same quilt: an applique version and a pieced version. Either version finishes at a queen size 87" x 93". You can purchase the kit as a five-part BOM ($45.20/month) or you can buy it all-at-once (199.00).
