Class - Intro to Wool Applique

This class is an introduction to wool appliqué that includes making a 6” square block by designer Sue Spargo.  Although the pieces have been pre-cut for you, Kim teaches you about:

  • Cutting your wool for a pattern
  • Adhering pattern pieces to a background in preparation for embroidery

Kim also discusses:

  • Needles and flosses - their sizes and applications.
  • Basic stitches and other stitches needed to complete this project
  • Ideas for using the completed block

Supply List:

  • The wool kit, available when you come to class. You can choose from one of the four colorways shown in the image
  • A hand sewing kit (it you have one)
  • A thimble if you use one, and your embroidery scissors. 
  • Needles are provided for the class, but you are also welcome to bring what you already have.
  • Lunch for yourself or a snack - or you can pick up something in Fairfield
