Class - Doll-Making 101 (Session 1)

This two-part class (Saturdays Sept 22nd and 29th) teaches you how to create a doll with its own personality!

In the first session, Carlin gets you started on the body of the doll - one that can be used for a variety of characters. In the second session you learn about costuming your creation. If needed, a final followup session will be scheduled.

Carlin has had a love affair with dolls – especially rag dolls - and puppets ever since she can remember.  When Jim Henson came along, she lost her heart to the Muppets, the fantasy and whimsy of doll and puppet making, and the joyous spirit they represent.  It was also when working on her master’s degree in Art Therapy that Carlin discovered how puppets, dolls, and their creation could not only free the heart but help to heal the wounded spirit.

To quote Carlin – “My characters dance through my imagination in a daily Mardi Gras of color and vibrancy and I love bringing them to life through my dolls and puppets. My greatest wish is that my little characters may touch a few hearts and bring a loving smile and memory to anyone who connects with them.”

A supply sheet will be available shortly.
