Conestoga Crossing

Join us in our Pioneer Journey to make the Conestoga Crossing! Travel back in time to the Oregon Trail, exploring the strong desire of the pioneers to settle the West and create homes rich in history.

The featured fabric collection is Pam Buda’s “Conestoga Crossing”. The colors are some of Pam Buda’s favorites.... deep reds, greens, black, dusty golds, sparked with blue. All are reproduction prints created from antique quilts of the 1800’s. Log Cabin chain blocks surround the large red star quilt center in a stunning frame made by an array of basket blocks. The block size is 12". The quilt finishes at 95" x 112".

Each month, for 12 months, you’ll receive a pattern and fabrics for that month's section of the quilt. Each block includes historical stories about the Oregon Trail and life in the 1800's…stories about preparing for the journey, what is was really like to walk the trail, some of the stops along the way, and arriving at the final destination....the Land Claims office. The final month includes the finishing materials and binding. A Bonus pattern is included to use any fabrics left over at the end.

The program begins now, at the end of January, with the first block, and blocks will be available on the 30th of each consecutive month.

Cost: $28.00/month for 12 months
          All-at-once: $299.00

NOTE: With each of our Block of the Month programs, we keep your credit card number on file for you, and your card will be charged on the last day of the month.  You are committing to purchasing the monthly kits for the entire quilt.  Work at your own pace! All of our BOM participants also receive support and assistance from us whenever needed.
